I've been reading a long rambling novel, Human traces, by Sebastian Faulks.

I'm near the end of it, and am still not sure where it is heading. I've read a couple of other novels by Faulks, Charlotte Gray and Birdsong, both of which are set in war time, and explore the effects on the characters of the dramatic events of war ( Read more... )
